First introduced in 1971, the Explorer II has become an iconic design for Rolexs sport model watches. Will Steger is an explorer and conservationist, most well known for his dogsled expeditions to the North Poll. Other notable Steger expeditions include the longest unsupported dogsled expeditions in history which traveled across Greenland without any resupply or assistance in 1988, and the first and only expeditions to cross the Arctic by dogsled, traveling from Russia to Ellesmere Island in Canada in 1995. Steger may be the greatest explorer since Sir John Hunts ascent of Mount Everest to have relied on Rolex to help guide his journey.
